Scrapbooking, Celebrations and Sisters

We had a wonderful Christmas Holiday with our family. Lots of just "hanging out" time.
The day after Christmas, as we enjoyed the snow fall, we got out the scrapbooking stuff.

Katie worked on her trip to Europe in 2011.........

Lisa worked on her 2012 year...............

and I went back to the beginning ........

We kept the scrapbooking table set up for the week. Katie finished her book. Lisa and I are still in the process. Superbowl Sunday seems like a good time to get it all out again!

The thing about scrapbooking is that it is not only getting your photos in a nice book so that you have some sense of being organized, it is all about the memories. Reflecting on those memories, whether only going back a year or two, or going way back, brings so much enjoyment. Ken even got into it as we recalled the events of our "early years". There are so many things that we forget as the years roll by. It is neat to be reminded, through simple photographs, of the many joys that have made up our life.

It was wonderful to celebrate 24 years of Lisa!

The cake turned out a bit like something you would see in a Dr. Seuss book.

I hope your 2013 has begun well and that the memories that you make this year will be happy ones!
