This winter is going fast. We had quite a few quiet weeks in December and January but things are starting to pick up again now. Camp registrations are coming in, as well as summer staff applications. Ken is busy with Campfairs and, something new we started this year, Neighborhood Desserts. Designed to introduce people to the Conference Centre in individual homes.

We did a little work on our offices this winter, as well. Basically Ken and I traded places. Our offices are side-by-side and I shared mine with the Food Service manager. Pete cut a hole for a door in the back wall of Ken's old office, built a wall down the middle, added some electrical stuff, sheet-rocked, painted and my cozy space was created. Our Food Service Manager Tom, also has a new office on the other side of the wall which is also attached to the Kitchen. Pete did an amazing job.

My little space

Ken' office, for some reason, took a little longer for him to get settled.
This is a before picture.....
............. and after

He still has some "decorating" to do, but things are in their place and he is comfortable.

This winter has brought lots of snow. Lisa has come in so handy! Just give her a little tractor and she is good to go. This particular storm was on a Friday and we had a small group in. The snow just kept falling and it was crazy trying to keep up with it. Lisa is such a trooper and such a huge help!

March...

It is that time again......... Ken has put his buckes out to collect sap for syrup. He added a tree this year so is getting quite a "sugarbush". It is amazing how much sap comes from one tree.
A couple days after he put the buckets out, we got this amazing snow. They call this "sugar" snow because it is a warm snow and comes at this time of year when the sap is running. This information came from Katie who lives in maple country as well.

Katie is home for a long weekend and we are lovin' our family time!!
